Kurma’s Appearance
A doctor was praying: tolling Sanctus bell with one hand and waving a plate of lighted camphor in another. He heard his son saying, “Thank you, Mummy. Bye”
The worried doctor turned his head towards the doorway. He saw his son with cricket bat, cap, clad in Sunrisers Hyderabad Fan Jersey, and tying shoe laces.
“Don’t go, covid still there,” the doctor warned.
Doctor’s wife interjected from the kitchen, “Covid is over.”
“Who said?”
“Priests spotted tortoise.”
“Where?”
“Chilkur Balaji Temple.”
The doctor was relieved, tolled the bell forcefully, thankfully: I can open my clinic, at last!
